January 2021 Number 1

Clean up your reservations before February 1st

When we published our 2021 planning in November we informed you that free cancellation is possible until February 1st. We have some days to go and have received many cancellations. We also still have many reservations on our waiting list (NO BERTH status).
After Feb 1st we will process the cancellations in the planning and update the total planning once again. Therefore we kindly ask you to clean up reservations of which you already know at this moment, that you won’t use them.
We expect to finish this work at least at Feb 8th and will inform you as soon as the updated planning is ready.

From Feb 1st we will switch to the ‘COVID planning and cancellation rules’ as valid from June 2020:

We will review our planning every month as we want to be sure that cruise lines have adapted the IG Rivercruise/EBU guidelines and can guarantee that their passengers can follow the national rules (https://www.government.nl/topics/coronavirus-covid-19).

The reservations will be confirmed monthly after the cancellation deadlines as mentioned below.

We kindly request you to clean up your reservations for April in Easydock before March 15th and cancel the reservations of which you already know now that you cannot sail on the particular date. Green Award certification from January 2022

As announced in November 2019 Clean Shipping and sustainability are fundamental pillars of the strategy of Port of Amsterdam.
From Jan 1st 2022 a Green Award certification is required for docking places in the City Center.

We are very happy to notice that already 49 ships have already been certified and another 22 ships are in the certification process.
As almost 200 ships are yearly visiting our port, many of them still needs to be certified in time.
Although we are aware of certain possible limitations, we kindly recommend that you start your registration for a first inspection (www.greenaward.org ). We understand that the actual inspections will commence when COVID-19 measures allow so.

In November 2021 we will run the planning for 2022 and if you want to secure a berth/dockingplace in or near the city center, be aware that you need to be certified by Green Award (or Equivalent) as from 2022. Otherwise the Coenhaven can be your alternative.
