PORT SEE app for up-to-date information about river cruise ports

River cruise ports in the South and West of the Netherlands, Port of Amsterdam and MUST SEE are launching the app PORT SEE for up-to-date insight into the accessibility of ports for river cruise ships.

The corona crisis has literally stopped many cruise ships. Fortunately, the business is slowly recovering, but the situation is still changing on a daily basis. That is why it is important for shipping companies to be able to easily check at any time which ports are open and what measures, if any, apply there. It is important for ports to be able to update changes in COVID measures quickly. The Port SEE app meets this need and is a new platform for the river cruise sector in Europe. The app contains up-to-date data on the accessibility of berths in ports for river cruise ships and which COVID measures apply there. The system is intended for shipping companies, ports, tour operators, cities and city marketing.

River cruises started succesfully in Amsterdam

We were very happy to welcome the first rivercruise ship of the 2020 season on June 20th.
The Holland and the Nassau of Boatbike Tours were very well adapted to the ‘new normal’ standards of social distancing and extra hygiene measures, as described in the IG Rivercruise protocol. There was still a limitation of 30 passengers at that moment and we learnt that guests were very happy.

We adapted our quays at Ruijterkade Oost and created walking lanes to enable passengers to keep distance at the quay.

After the successful receipt of these first ships we gradually increased the number of ships and at this moment we have many bookings for the next three months.

Upgrade shore power

As announced we are still working on the upgrade and expansion of our shore power installations. The last months the installations were upgraded at all our locations.

On our website you can find the instructions for the connection to these new installations.

At the Westerdoksdijk the shore power has been expanded to 2 times 800. We kindly request you to inform your captains and crew that they have to notify disturbances in the system at Port Office and at the Shore Power Service provider. All contactinformation can be found on the installation.

Do not forget to cancel your reservations

Unfortunately, the last weeks we have noticed that many reservations are not canceled in Easydock. As we have a limited number of docking places due to the corona measures, we ask you to always cancel your reservation if you are not coming. It this doesn't happen we are forced to give your future reservations less priority.
